Privacy Notice
A plain-English explanation of what The Plato School stores, what parents can control, and where parents can review the direct notice required before lessons begin.
Parents review a direct notice, verify identity, grant consent, download student data, and request deletion from the parent portal.
The Plato School Privacy Notice
We show parents a direct notice before lessons begin. Parents can review what we collect, how we use it, and how to download or delete student data.
#What we collect - student profile information such as display name and chosen grade band - lesson history, teacher turns, quick checks, drill activity, and progress summaries - optional voice session records when voice consent is granted - optional transcript records when transcript storage consent is granted - parent account records needed for sign-in, billing, support, and consent history
#How we use student data We use student data to run lessons, adapt instruction, summarize progress, protect the service, and honor parent requests.
#Parent rights Parents can: - review the current privacy notice and direct notice - verify the parent account before granting live lesson consent - grant or revoke lesson, voice, and transcript permissions - download a copy of student data from the parent portal - request deletion of student data and receive a completion record
#Voice and transcript choices Voice use and transcript storage are optional. Lessons can run without them.
#Deletion and export Export requests produce a downloadable package from the parent portal. Deletion requests are reviewed and then fulfilled inside the app.
#Help Parents can use the Parent portal, Support page, and Data Requests center for privacy questions.
